This is one of the best examples
of “power meets workmanship” in the automotive industry. The E.R.A. 427 S/C
is widely known to be one of the best built and engineered performance cars
for the money.
This is definitely no Shelby
American CSX4000 Continuation Cobra nor one of the countless Mustang donor
Cobra kits.
E.R.A. Automobiles have been some
of the most sought after cars in the industry over the last 22 years, and
for good reason. Engineered from the ground up to be the most solid racing
chassis available, they produce less than 50 hand-built cars per year.
The body and chassis were built
by ERA while the engine and transmission addition was designed and completed
by Baldwin Design and Performance in 2001. This E.R.A. 427 s/c (Model #575)
is built for show and go. Some of the many highlights of this automobile
include:
Paint: Custom House of Kolor
Orion Silver with Pearl Silver-white stripes with glass-smooth bodywork
Engine: New All Aluminum Shelby
427 motor (stroked to 465ci) producing over 570hp. Includes aluminum heads
by Jim Green, CompCams Roller Rockers, 10.2:1 Venolia Pistons, LeMans Rods,
Sidewinder Intake, Jet Stage III carburetor, Avaid Pan, MSD Ignition and
much, much more!
Transmission: Richmond (Doug
Nash) 5 Speed – Custom Performance Mod.
Suspension: Rear: Custom Jaguar
I.R.S. with outboard 11.75” rotors. Sierra brakes and Spax coilovers front
and back.
Wheels: 6 pin Trigo-Halibrand
knockoffs with full polished spinners
Interior: Black Connelly leather
and complete Smiths instrumentation
Other Highlights:
3 Nozzle Halon System
Side Pipes and Headers are JetHot
coated.
Custom powder coated and polished
aluminum valve covers
Moto-Lita wood-wrapped steering
wheel
Chrome roll bar and overriders
Rare Lucas tri-pole headlamps
Every detail was addressed. From the custom made billet fuel log to the
custom Solid Sterling Silver emblems and embroidered floor mats, this car
has it all.
Many polished aluminum parts
throughout the engine compartment
The car has been used primarily
for shows, club rally events and promotional display for a new Dallas
Automotive business. It is also the featured car of the 2003 Ghost in the
Machine artprint. The car is in incredible condition with only 1300 miles
and is appraised for REPLACEMENT value at over $90K. It is blindingly fast
and will standout from all others in any show.
Check around and you will find
that E.R.A. Automobiles are scarce and bring top dollar. .
